Farm groups urge farm bill cloture vote in Senate

One hundred twenty farm and conservation groups have sent a letter to all senators urging them to vote for cloture on the farm bill, which is scheduled to come up for consideration at 10 a.m. on Thursday.

“This bill affects 16 million Americans whose livelihoods depend on agriculture. We must pass a farm bill this year to provide certainty to those individuals,” said the groups, which included the American Farm Bureau Federation, the National Farmers Union and major commodity and conservation groups
