PARIS — Fabrice Risi, who sells ice cream on the Alexander III bridge in Paris, makes it a point to tell American tourists that they should buy “artisanal” ice cream when they get back home.
In an interview Risi noted that he is a third-generation ice cream maker and seller in Paris. American consumers, he said, should reject ice cream that comes from big companies, including Ben and Jerry’s, in favor of supporting local ice cream makers who use local ingredients.
