The Alliance for Natural Health on Monday released a study that says the cost of labeling foods produced with genetically modified organisms would not be as high as other studies have said.
Emory University law professor Joanna Shepherd-Bailey said on a conference call that, while other studies have assumed that companies would have to reformulate many products, she does not believe that would be necessary on as large a scale as projected because Americans have long accepted foods that contain genetically modified ingredients.
