Senate Ag hearing Thursday on wildfire impacts

The Senate Agriculture Committee will hold a hearing Thursday on the impact of wildfires on the budget and natural resources, Chairman Pat Roberts, R-Kan., announced.

The hearing will begin at 10 a.m. in Room 328A of the Russell Senate Office Building.

Roberts announced the following witnesses:
  • Dan Dessecker, director of conservation policy, Ruffed Grouse Society/American Woodcock Society, Rice Lake, Wis.
  • William R. Dougan, president, National Federation of Federal Employees, Washington
  • Ken Stewart, chairman of the board of trustees, American Forest Foundation, Marietta, Ga.
  • Chris Treese, manager of external affairs, Colorado River Water Conservation District (Colorado River District), Glenwood Springs, Colo.
  • Chris Wood, president & CEO, Trout Unlimited, Arlington, Va.
