The Food and Drug Administration has released a strategic plan for its food division, Michael Taylor, the deputy commissioner for food, told the National Restaurant Association Thursday.
Taylor also said that the four rules to implement the Food Safety Modernization Act should be released by the Office of Management and Budget “in the not too distant future.”
Taylor stressed that the four rules -- prevention controls for human foods, animal feed, produce safety and imports – “have to work together as a process” because they are so interrelated.
