Report: Land grant organic research not growing fast enough

The Organic Farming Research Foundation today released a study that says land grant colleges are increasing organic research and programs, but not keeping up with the growth in organic agriculture.
“While land dedicated to organic research has nearly doubled from 2003 to 2011, and universities providing organic programs have grown from zero to eight, public universities must do a great deal more in order to meet the growing needs of organic demand,” said Maureen Wilmot, executive director of the Organic Farm Research Foundation, said in a news release accompanying the report.
