The Senate Agriculture Committee will hold a hearing on “Drought, Fire and Freeze: The Economics of Disasters for America’s Agricultural Producers,” on Thursday, Senate Agriculture Committee Chairman Debbie Stabenow, D-Mich., announced this week.

Witnesses will include Joe Glauber, the chief economist at the Agriculture Department, Roger Pulwarty, director of the National Integrated Drought Information System at the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, and farmers from Montana, Michigan and Indiana.
