House Agriculture Committee approves oversight plan

The House Agriculture Committee approved its oversight plan for the 113th Congress on Wednesday, setting its agenda and highlighting key policy issues in its jurisdiction.

House rules require each committee to adopt an oversight plan and submit it to the Committee on Oversight and Government Reform and the Committee on House Administration by February 15.

“Our oversight plan for this Congress is comprehensive, balanced, and reflects the bipartisan nature in which this committee operates,” said Chairman Frank Lucas, R-Okla., and ranking member Collin Peterson, D-Minn. “We look forward to working with our colleagues on these important issues.”
