The Senate will vote on final passage of the farm bill on Monday at 5:30 p.m., said Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev.
The Senate will be in session on Friday, but will not take up the farm bill. Reid said that the Senate would turn to the farm bill on Monday at 5 p.m., with votes at 5:30 p.m. on an amendment offered by Sen. Patrick Leahy, D-Vt., followed by a vote on final passage of the bill.
It is unclear whether there will be a manager's package of noncontroversial amendments added to the bill, but the schedule appears to preclude any further controversial amendments.
