The House Rules Committee has told members of the House that amendments on the farm bill must be filed by Monday at 2 p.m.

The communication is a signal that the House version of the farm bill is moving forward and likely to come up on the floor next week.

House Agriculture Committee Chairman Frank Lucas, R-Okla., also discussed his optimism about the bill in an interview with Oklahoma Farm Report today.
