Wisconsin group played role in Southerland food stamp amendment

A little known Wisconsin-based organization called the Secretary’s Innovation Group, which describes itself as a network for “activist human service secretaries,” played a part in the campaign for the food stamp amendment to the farm bill sponsored by Rep. Steve Southerland, R-Fla., Politico reported on Sunday.
