Rep. Jim McGovern, D-Mass., and 28 other House members sent House Agriculture Committee Chairman Frank Lucas, D-Okla., a letter today asking him to hold a hearing on nutrition before advancing a stand-alone nutrition bill.

Lucas noted that the committee has not held a nutrition hearing in this Congress.

The House leadership removed the nutrition title from the farm bill before sending the bill to the House floor, where it passed two weeks ago.
