IDFA, others urge Senate to adopt House dairy provision

In anticipation of a House-Senate conference on the farm bill, a coalition of food manufacturer, retailer and restaurant groups has sent a letter to Senate agriculture leaders urging them to accept the House version of a new dairy program.
In a letter to Senate Agriculture Committee Chairman Debbie Stabenow, D-Mich., and ranking member Thad Cochran, R-Miss., the groups organized by the International Dairy Foods Association urged the senators to reject “any government supply program.”
