ActionAid USA released a report today that says “many of the public pronouncements calling for a doubling of global food production by 2050 are based on outdated or flawed economic forecasting and misleading characterizations of this research.”
The report, based on a paper released last month by the Global Development and Environment Institute at Tufts University, says that inequality, food waste and biofuels production are bigger issues than inadequate production.
