Dairy manufacturers ask Senate conferees to accept House dairy bill

Twenty-eight dairy manufacturers have written Senate conferees on the farm bill and other senators from the companies’ headquarter states, urging them to accept the House version of the dairy title of the bill.

The companies are all members of the International Dairy Foods Association.

The letters are identical except for the name of the state and the manufacturers’ signatures, and have been sent to:
  • Sen. Saxby Chambliss, R-Ga.
  • Sen. Tom Harkin, D-Iowa
  • Sen. John Cornyn, R-Texas
  • Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas
  • Senate Agriculture Committee Chairwoman Debbie Stabenow, D-Mich.
  • Sen. Amy Klobuchar, D-Minn.
  • Sen. Bill Nelson, D-Fla.
  • Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Fla.
  • Sen. Sherrod Brown, D-Ohio
  • Sen. Bob Casey, D-Pa.
  • Sen. Pat Toomey, R-Pa.
