The House will take up the Water Resources Reform and Development Act on Wednesday and Thursday, House Majority Leader Eric Cantor, R-Va., announced over the weekend.
The bill has already passed the Senate and is of great importance to agriculture because it would authorize construction and repairs on the nation’s lock and dam systems.
The House will return to Washington on Tuesday and Cantor has said no votes will be scheduled for Friday.
