A group of 28 House Democrats has written farm bill conferees urging adoption of the House dairy title in farm bill conference report, and the International Dairy Foods Association has produced a flier on the issue that it is distributing on Capitol Hill.
The groups and IDFA maintain that the dairy market stabilization program in the Senate bill will make it more expensive for low-income people, including food stamp beneficiaries, to buy milk and dairy products.
