The Government Accountability Office on Wednesday released a study of the U.S. Agency for International Development’s program to position food aid in advance of its expected use.
The study showed that this “prepositioning” both in the United States and overseas speeds up delivery to crisis areas, but GAO said the timing and costs should be monitored systematically.
