Groups to push Feed the Future bill in lame duck

Members of Congress and private sector groups are pushing Congress in the lame-duck session to pass a bill that would make the U.S. Agency for International Development’s Feed the Future program a permanent part of that agency.
The Obama administration used administrative authority to establish the program but without a legislative mandate a future administration could dismantle it.
The private groups pushing the legislation include World Food Program USA, which is a private-sector group supporting the United Nations World Food Program, as well as Syngenta, Land O’ Lakes, DuPont, Monsanto, Pioneer, Econet, and the OFW Law firm.
