USDA releases ‘Made in Rural America’ local foods report

The Agriculture Department this week released a report on local food production composed of state-by-state fact sheets.
USDA said local food sales topped $11.7 billion in 2014 and that the report demonstrates the impact of USDA’s investments of $800 million in more than 29,100 local and regional food businesses and infrastructure projects over the past six years.
