The Food and Drug Administration said today it has submitted the final produce safety, foreign supplier verification and third-party accreditation rules to the Federal Register for publication, meeting a schedule required by a court decision, but it did not release copies of the final rules.
Documents submitted to the Federal Register can publish several days after they are submitted, with larger documents taking longer to process and display.
The FDA said it “is committed to sharing information about the final rules and how facilities can comply as soon as we are able to do so,” and suggested that interested parties go to its website to check for updates, which will be posted as soon as the information is available.
