National 4-H Council announces executive appointments

The National 4-H Council announced Friday that Jennifer Sirangelo has been named executive vice president and chief operating officer.

Sirangelo has been the 4-H Council’s chief development officer. Before working for 4-H, she served as regional vice president for Boys & Girls Clubs of America in New York. She also held leadership roles at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Kansas City, the National Kidney Foundation, William Jewell College in Liberty, Mo.

The council, based in Chevy Chase, Md., also announced that Jill Bramble has been named senior vice president and chief development officer.

Bramble was previously vice president for resource development. A lifelong 4-Her from Maryland, Bramble was previously a senior consultant for Just Cause Consulting specializing in strategic planning and grant-writing for several nonprofits. She also led fundraising and local board development for the Mid-Atlantic Division of the American Cancer Society.

The council also said that Lyla Houglum will act as special adviser to the organization’s CEO and liaison to extension directors and administrators.

Houglum, who served as dean and director of the Oregon State University Extension Service for almost 10 years, is the executive director of the Western Extension Directors Association and the director of special initiatives for the Oregon State University Extension Service.
